We are delighted to announce that Lisa Wright has won the 2009 National Open Art Competition for her painting ‘Shadow of a King’ This was one of the paintings from ‘The Histories’ series, following her residency with the Royal Shakespeare Company for Michael Boyd’s production of the 8 plays in the History Cycle . In the last few months Lisa has also had work selected for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, the Threadneedle Prize and the Lynn Painter-Stainers Prize.
Her next exhibition at the Beardsmore Gallery will be in the Spring of 2010. Please contact the gallery for further details.
